The worst part is renter’s insurance doesn’t cost all that much either. (unless things have changed)

Last time I was a renter my annual premium was less than half of one months rent..

I’ve suffered several losses over the years, the worst being a total loss from a house fire. I learned early on that insurance is your friend and that most people learn that lesson the hard way.

The apartments I’ve rented have always required renters insurance (which is of course different than people actually carrying it). The plans I’ve had really only seem useful in catastrophic  cases, but as a result it’s not like it’s that expensive either.
